Privacy Policy
Effective: January 1, 2026. Last updated: January 1, 2026.
This Privacy Policy describes how InspectMatch, LLC ("InspectMatch", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use the InspectMatch websites, mobile applications, and related services (the "Service"). It also describes the privacy rights available to residents of certain U.S. states and how to exercise them.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to information we collect through the Service. It does not apply to information collected by third parties (including Service Providers, partner offer providers, or payment processors) through their own websites or services, even when accessed through links on the Service. Those third parties have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information. Name, email, phone number, password, and role (Buyer, Realtor, Inspector, or Contractor).
- Profile information. For Realtors: brokerage, license number, service area. For Inspectors and Contractors: license numbers, insurance, certifications, trades, service areas, pricing, photos, biography. For Buyers: property details and your home maintenance records.
- Property and questionnaire information. Property address, age, type, condition, and your concerns about a property.
- Bookings, messages, quotes, and reviews. Content you submit through the Service.
- Payment information. When you pay through the Service, payment details are collected and processed by our payment processors. We receive limited transaction information (such as last four digits of a card) but do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
- Customer support. Records of communications with us.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage information. IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, pages viewed, links clicked, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to control them.
- Approximate location. Derived from IP address, used to display relevant local content.
Information from third parties
- License verification services and other vendors used to confirm Service Provider credentials.
- Payment processors and fraud prevention services.
- Analytics and advertising partners (subject to your preferences).
- Realtors who invite you through a branded booking link, who may identify you as their client.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Operate the Service: create and authenticate accounts, match Buyers with Service Providers, facilitate bookings and quotes, deliver inspection reports, track repair jobs, manage the home maintenance portal, and process disputes.
- Communicate with you: send transactional notifications, respond to support requests, and (with permission where required) send marketing communications.
- Verify Service Provider credentials and maintain platform quality.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Improve the Service through analytics and product research.
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, and protect our rights and the rights of others.
4. How We Share Information
We share personal information in the following circumstances:
- With other Users to enable the Service. When a Buyer requests an inspection or repair quote, relevant information (such as name, contact details, property address, and the specifics of the request) is shared with the matched Service Provider. When a Buyer is referred by a Realtor through a branded link, the Realtor is notified of the resulting booking.
- With service providers and processors. Hosting providers, email and SMS delivery services, payment processors, analytics providers, and other vendors that perform services on our behalf and are contractually required to protect the information.
- With partner offer providers. If you click a partner offer (warranty, insurance, or maintenance plan), we may share your contact information with that partner so they can provide the offer. Your interaction with the partner is governed by the partner's terms and privacy policy.
- For legal reasons. When we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, legal process, or government requests; to enforce our Terms; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of InspectMatch, our Users, or others.
- In connection with a business transaction. If InspectMatch is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- With your consent or at your direction. Including when you choose to share Content publicly (such as a public profile or a review).
We do not sell personal information for money. Some U.S. state privacy laws define "sale" or "share" broadly to include cross-context behavioral advertising. To the extent any such activity occurs through the Service, you may opt out using the methods described in Section 7 and on our Your Privacy Choices page.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember preferences, measure usage, and (where applicable) deliver relevant advertising. For details on the categories of cookies, your control options, and how we treat Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals, see our Cookie Policy.
6. Your U.S. State Privacy Rights
California (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, including categories, sources, purposes, and recipients.

You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf with a valid power of attorney or written authorization.
Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states
Residents of these states (and other states with comprehensive privacy laws as they take effect) generally have the rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of personal data; to opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and certain profiling decisions; and to appeal a denied request. To exercise these rights, use the methods in Section 7. We will respond within the timeframe required by your state's law.

Where required by law, we will verify your identity before responding. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically 45 days for California, with one extension permitted). If we deny your request, we will explain why and how to appeal where appeal rights apply.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@inspectmatch.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 without affirmative authorization.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Inspection reports, contracts, and transaction records may be retained for longer periods consistent with industry standards and applicable record-keeping requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
10. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
11. International Users
The Service is operated in the United States and is intended for U.S. users. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your country. By using the Service, you consent to that transfer.
12. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites and services. This Policy does not apply to those third parties. Review their privacy policies before providing information to them.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we may also notify you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
